Medical Cannabis Dispensary in Washington DC
Jars DC serves registered medical cannabis patients from our store at 610 H St NW in Chinatown. If you’re new to DC’s program or already have your registration, here’s what you need to know.
DC's medical cannabis program
Licensed cannabis sales in DC run through a medical program overseen by ABCA. Every customer at a licensed dispensary needs a patient registration, or a qualifying registration from another jurisdiction.
Getting registered as a DC resident
If you’re 21 or older, you can self-certify when you apply through the myABCA portal. That means you confirm you’re using cannabis for medical purposes yourself, without a practitioner’s recommendation. Applicants under 21 still need a recommendation from an authorized healthcare practitioner.
Step-by-step instructions are in our DC cannabis registration guide.
Already registered?
Bring your registration and a valid photo ID to 610 H St NW. You can check the live menu first to see what’s in stock, or order ahead for pickup. Registered patients can buy up to eight ounces within a rolling 30-day period across all DC dispensaries.
Visiting from another state
Patients from the 39 states and territories DC recognises can use their home registration with a government photo ID. Virginia patients also need the written certification form from their practitioner. Everyone else can apply for a temporary DC registration online. Our visitor guide explains both routes.
